Biography

I was educated as a piano performer/ teacher in the best traditions of the Russian Piano School at the Belarus, then Soviet Union, State Academy of Music in 1984,and there, later on, I received my Master's Degree in Piano Music. Even as an undergraduate student, I was eager to get as much professional experience as possible. Since then, as a professional, my motto is that there is always room for challenge as well as improvement.
I played with the Byelorussian State Philharmonic Orchestra and the
Orchestra of the Belarus State Academy of Music. In Poland,
Belarus and Canada,
I regularly performed with numerous chamber ensembles. As an accompanist, I
enjoyed work with many talented performers playing violoncello, oboe, bassoon,
and clarinet.
For more than twenty years, teaching piano music has been my main job, both challenging and rewarding. I worked with students of all levels and ages including 5-year old beginners and Performance Grade students. Work in different countries, such as Belarus, Poland and Canada, and with people of various nationalities and mentalities has been a continuous educational process for myself too.
Teaching and performing experience raised questions, gave ideas and as a result influenced research activity. While preparing Doctorate Theses and participating in numerous conferences, I created the innovative concept of developing musicians feelings and imaginative thinking. Teaching through my school of music and serving as an executive with ORMTA, are my main and enjoyable occupations.
